Hey everyone, ~zeratanus here,

I AM SO SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED THIS IN A WHILE! ME AND TINT WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IT BUT SCHOOL IS KILLING ME AND I HAVENT EVEN SEEN TINT IN WEEKS o_O

I'll get to it later i swear :x

anyway, on to the update: (mostly copypasta from my post on AA forums)

Hey folks,

So I was approached by the head of this other manga-based, mangarevolution-esc site, [link] (Manga Bullet) about a week ago. Eddz, the guy in question, is a pretty alright guy, and was a member (I guess mostly a lurker) on Manga Revolution and was sad to see it go. He said he'd be happy to give the MRians a new home and on my suggestion even quickly whipped up a sign-up listing for MR refugees with their MR name and MB name.

As for the site itself, It's pretty decent. It's got plenty of features, more than MR had actually. Journals, Polls, the gallery, a forum, "club" things, and stuff like that. I dont care for the front page or gallery's layout, but then, i didnt like MR2's much either :P. I have to give Eddz props for the site. it works pretty well.

The community is a bit of a different story. the site is -DEFINITELY- more anime focused than MR ever was, and a lot of the forum community seem like weeaboos from HTDM or something. But thats not to say there arent plenty of cool folks there too. Overall the community is okay, nothing grand, but then, the site's less than a year old anyway.

overall -
NO, I'm not suggesting Mangabullet as a replacement for MR. MR was something special that could never be replaced.

However, it's an excellent alternative to DeviantArt

Looking at it that way will make you notice more good things than bad things, as comparing it to MR would do im sure x3

Join or not, it's up to you, and of course I'm not leaving the [link] (AA Forums) or here either - I'm just interested in finding a place more artist friendly than DA will ever be.

[link] (The Listing of MRians on MB)
If you sign up to MB, make sure to join this list too, and send it to anyone else from MR you see thats not on the list

that's about the gist of it. Just passing it along, since I know plenty of people here dont care for dA and would rather something a bit smaller and approachable than dA.

anyone know where i can find the tut?
Hi everyone I just read that manga revolution is closed for good right. I am new to this website and I don't know any at all which I am very nervous. The reason is that I am a very shy person when it comes down in meeting people for the very first time. I don't have any artwork that is up yet but I will soon post some.
So that's why I've seen Ac4 in the daylight the past few weeks. From Beta to Backups bitches... rip.
hey uh can I join..I dunno if I have..I made my presence known but yea >3>

mangarevolution shut down?!!!crap alot of good tutorials were there!!
I’m sorry to hear that MR is no more I didn't know about it until 4/16/09. I was one of the few original members when MR first came on the scene. My member name was Watercolourlover maybe some of you remember me, I enjoyed my time on the first MR until it closed down, then MR two came up from the ashes, by then I had moved on and would come by at times and lurk I saw many talented artists. August take good care of yourself and your family I wish you all the best! Au revoir!
Yeah... I do recognize that name, watercolourlover. I could be imagining things, though. I was back on the original MR too. :)

Check out my novel-in-progress, Orphan Wars!
My username was callan, didn't post that much.
To me mangarevolution was the start of my drawing carreer, i've improved alot thanks to the awesome tutorials of mangarevolution!!
If you want to know what mangarevolution meant to me.. Its painful to say this ... But it meant everything to me going on that site was like going to another universe I felt excepted and like I was something. Sadly when that site went down... I felt like I lost everything. I went into despair but knowing Its sorta still around I'm very happy indeed :3[link]
